LS17500 3,6V A Lithium special battery

SAFT LS17500 is a 3.6V lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl₂) A-size battery designed for long-term, reliable power in industrial applications.

The battery features a very low self-discharge rate of less than 1% per year at room temperature, ensuring long shelf life and extended service intervals. It operates in a wide temperature range from −60°C to +85°C, making it ideal for demanding machine environments. The hermetically sealed stainless-steel construction provides excellent resistance to vibration, moisture and corrosion.

The LS17500 is commonly used in HEIDENHAIN touch probes (3D probes) when installed with battery adapter ID 722383-01, providing a compact alternative to C-size batteries.

It is compatible with several HEIDENHAIN 3D probes including:

TS460, TS640, TS642, TS649, TS740 and TS742.

This configuration is typically used when a compact battery solution is preferred or when the probe is supplied with the A-battery adapter.

Note: This is a non-rechargeable battery.
