The Neuron kWh Energy Meter is a rugged wireless IoT sensor that measures AC current using a split-core current transducer. It can be installed without disconnecting existing wiring, making retrofitting easy. The sensor accumulates ampere-hours, and through the Neuron app, you can convert this data into kilowatt-hours (kWh) based on your grid voltage.

The device samples every 10 seconds and typically reports every 2 minutes, but will instantly transmit data if a critical change is detected. It is powered by an internal battery with an expected lifetime of up to 10 years, ensuring low maintenance.

You can configure measurement and reporting frequencies as well as alarm thresholds in the Neuron app. If predefined limits are exceeded, alerts can be sent via push notifications, email, or SMS. Commissioning is done via a QR code on the device, enabling fast and accurate registration to the Neuron system.

Common use cases include energy monitoring in industrial facilities, HVAC systems, lighting, pumps, and motors — offering insights into consumption trends and enabling cost control.
