Advanced Wireless Vibration Sensor with Wake-on-Shake and Temperature Measurement

The Neuron Vibration RMS Wake-on-Shake is an intelligent wireless IoT sensor designed to monitor vibration levels and surface temperature on machinery and industrial equipment. Its unique Wake-on-Shake function keeps the sensor in a low-power sleep mode until vibration exceeds a predefined threshold, significantly extending battery life and making it ideal for assets that do not operate continuously.

When activated, the sensor measures RMS vibration (Root Mean Square acceleration) across three axes as well as surface temperature through its integrated magnetic contact point. With a measuring range of up to 12 g RMS and a resolution down to 1 mg, the sensor captures even small changes in vibration patterns with high precision. Temperature measurement ranges from –40 °C to +85 °C.

The sensor measures over an 80 ms window with a sampling rate of 3200 Hz and a bandwidth of 1600 Hz, ensuring accurate readings even during high-frequency vibration events. If vibration exceeds 0.1 g for at least 0.1 seconds, the sensor automatically wakes and transmits data to the Neuron system through a Neuron Gateway.

Powered by an integrated battery, the sensor offers an expected lifetime of up to 8 years depending on usage and configuration. Its rugged IP67-rated enclosure protects against dust, moisture, and harsh industrial conditions, while the built-in magnet ensures fast and simple installation without wiring.

Using the Neuron app, you can configure measurement parameters and alarm thresholds, and receive alerts via push notifications, email, or SMS. Commissioning is quick and easy using the QR code, which registers the device directly in the Neuron system.
